A high speed wrapping and packaging company has a Full Time day shift & Part Time Evening shift position open at its Roanoke VA facility. The positions start at $11.00 per hour with daily & monthly production bonuses for full time, and monthly production bonuses for Part Time. Day shift hours are from: 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM and the part time evening hours are 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 3 days per week. This location is in the northern suburbs on Rte. 11. You must have experience with heavy lifting in a fast paced environment, operating production machinery, or have some mechanical aptitude and meet the physical requirements of the position.
The job duties are very physical and require you to continuously lift bags weighing up to 60 pounds to shoulder height to fill the wrapping machine hoppers. You must be able to work 8 hours on your feet, lifting, carrying bending, squatting, operating hand and foot controls in a fast paced environment. The employee must also complete simple math functions and able to follow verbal and written instructions.
The job is located in a secure, restricted environment and the nature of our business requires that you must first successfully complete a pre-employment, in addition to random, and post accident drug screens later in your employment. You must also successfully pass a thorough background, criminal and credit history investigation. The successful candidate will have a steady and verifiable work history and not a history of numerous short term periods of employment of 2 years or less.
