A high speed wrapping and packaging company has several full time positions open at its New Britain CT facility on the morning and afternoon/evening shift. Please read the application instructions before sending your resume. The position starts at $11.00 per hour with daily and monthly production bonuses. Hours are from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. This location is convenient to public transportation and near the I-9 & Rte 72 interchange.
You must have experience with heavy lifting in a fast paced, hard working environment and have experience operating production machinery, or have some mechanical aptitude, can meet the physical demands and are willing to learn. The job duties require you to continuously lift bags weighing up to 60 pounds to shoulder height unassisted to fill the wrapping machine hoppers. You must be able to work 8 hours on your feet, lifting, carrying bending, squatting, operating hand and foot controls in a fast paced environment. The employee must also complete simple math functions, paperwork and be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
The job is located in a secure, restricted environment and the nature of our business requires that you must first successfully complete a pre-employment, in addition to random, and post accident drug screens later in your employment. You must also successfully pass a thorough background, criminal and credit history investigation. The successful candidate will have a steady and verifiable work history. We will not consider a long history of numerous short term periods of employment of 2 years or less at previous jobs.
