....A high speed custom wrapping and packaging company has FULL TIME positions open at its Albany –Colonie NY, facility on the evening shift. The position starts at $12.00 per hour, with daily and monthly production bonuses. Evening shift hours are from 2-PM to 10-PM, Mon-Thurs and 12-Noon to 8 PM Friday. This location is convenient to public transportation, just 1 block from Central Ave. and close to I-90 and I-87.
You must have experience with heavy lifting in a fast paced, hard working environment and have experience operating production machinery, or have some mechanical aptitude, can meet the physical requirements and are willing to learn. The job duties are very physical and require you to continuously lift bags of coins weighing up to 60 pounds to shoulder height unassisted to fill the wrapping machine hoppers with an average of 300 lifts per shift. You must be able to work 8 hours on your feet; lifting, carrying bending, squatting, operating hand and foot controls in a fast paced environment. The employee must be able to follow verbal and written instructions, complete simple math functions and paperwork.
The job is located in a secure, restricted environment and the nature of our business requires that you must first successfully complete a pre-employment, in addition to random, and post accident drug screens later in your employment. You must also successfully pass a thorough background, criminal and credit history investigation. The successful candidate will have had long term employment at previous employers. We will not consider anyone with a long history of short term periods of employment of 2 years or less.
