We have several PART TIME positions open at our New Orleans LA facility on the afternoon shift. The position starts at $14.00 per hour with monthly production bonuses. Hours are from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday and 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM Mon and Friday. . This location is convenient to public transportation and is close to the convention center. You must have experience with heavy lifting in a fast paced environment and have experience operating high-speed production machinery, or have some mechanical aptitude and can meet the physical demands of the job.
The job is located in a secure, restricted environment and the nature of our business requires that you must first successfully complete a pre-employment, in addition to random, and post accident drug screens later in your employment. You must also successfully pass a thorough background, criminal and credit history investigation.
The job duties are very physical and require you to continuously lift bags of coins weighing up to 60 pounds to shoulder height unassisted to fill the wrapping machine hoppers. You must be able to work 4-5 hours on your feet, lifting, carrying bending, squatting, operating hand and foot controls in a fast paced environment. The employee must also follow verbal and written instructions and complete simple math functions and paperwork.
This position isn’t for everyone; the successful candidate will have a steady and verifiable work history with a good safety record. We will not consider anyone with a series of short term periods of employment of 2 years or less at previous jobs, or long, unexplained gaps in their employment history.
